Our Story: Trinity Romesberg & Marcus Douglas

We met the way a lot of modern love stories begin—a birthday post and a DM.

One of Trinity’s friends shared a photo for her birthday, and all the way out in California during Marine training, Marcus came across it and decided to send a message. After that first DM, we started FaceTiming every day—and from the very beginning, it just felt different. Conversations were easy, we laughed constantly, and it didn’t take long for both of us to feel like this was something special.

When Marcus came home for Christmas break—just 14 days—we spent every single day together. We met each other’s families, stayed up way too late talking about life and what we were hoping for in the future, and the more time we spent together, the more everything just made sense.

We felt at home with each other almost instantly. Our love for God, shared values, and the way we just got each other—it was clear this wasn’t just a coincidence.

From a birthday post to FaceTime calls, from Christmas break to forever—we both just knew: this was it.
